Derived from the 808 NSW, the Zipp 858 NSW wheelset with tubeless tires redefines the aesthetics and behavior of high performance wheels. In the development of this unique wheelset, the engineers of the brand started from the observation of nature and in particular the humpback whale and the texture of a shark skin to reduce aerodynamic drag and lateral forces. The result is a surprisingly wavy profile with a height of 77 to 82 mm and a golf ball-like coating that improves drag and stability in crosswinds by creating micro vortices on the rim surface.

For its part, the braking track benefits from the Showstopper treatment, which guarantees a braking performance similar to that of disc brakes. Zipp engineers have also paid special attention to the hubs to further improve the aerodynamics of the whole, reducing turbulence and friction with an axial clutch technology with 36 engagement points on the rear wheel. Finally, a small detail, but one that shows the exceptional quality of the whole, the graphics are not applied in the form of stickers, but printed directly on the rim using Zipp Impress technology. This incredibly powerful model, even stiffer than the 808 NSW, but also more technical and physically demanding, will prove particularly suitable for flat and extremely rolling tracks.
