Bar ends originate from the early days of mountain biking and are usually mounted at the end of the handlebar - a great idea from an ergonomic point of view. As time went on and straight bars became less common, often replaced in favour of riser bars, bar ends became less popular. Now that handlebars have become flatter and wider again, running bar ends seems like a wise choice again.
SQlab’s bar ends are slightly different, mounted inside of the grips. Innerbarends are the natural evolution of the classic bar ends from the early days of mountain biking, but offering an unprecedented level of safety. Despite the changed grip position, the brake levers are permanently within reach. Riding on the Innerbarends has a slightly similar feel to riding on traithlon aero bars. Light, unobtrusive and easy to fit - give this innovative new product a try.
The Innerbarends have no strict area of application, although are primarily suitable for the mountain biking: everything from race, to cross country, marathon, trail riding, longer tours and all mountain, right up to enduro. The Innerbarends also offer great alternative hand positions for city riding and touring.
