The MAVIC Crossmax Carbon SL Ultimate 25 is the most dynamic cross-country wheelset from the French brand Mavic, which was developed for Olympic athletes.
With the Adaptive Layup carbon fibre design, which adapts the different thicknesses to the loads on each rim section, the wheel saves a lot of weight compared to the Crossmax Pro Carbon. The result: more concise acceleration and greater efficiency when climbing. In addition, the outer carbon layer features the UD² design, which provides a special visual identity and increases durability.
The wheels have a hookless profile that improves comfort, control and traction, and a width of 25 mm for fast and precise riding with optimal grip on fast race tracks. They are also fully UST compatible.
The Crossmax SL Ultimate also benefit from an asymmetric design to better balance the tension between the spokes. The 24 tapered steel spokes, which are crossed in pairs at the front and rear, ensure a perfect balance between lateral stiffness and vertical flexibility. Finally, the reliable Stellar Drive 80 freehub system ensures a lightning-fast clutch that provides unrivalled flexibility and dynamism.
