Vulcanized tires made of natural rubber score with a very good price-performance ratio and high durability at the expense of comfort and performance. Nylon is a carcass braid available in three main thread sizes - 33, 60 and 120 TPI (threads per inch) - and is wrapped around a wire bead or the aramid bead. The nylon braid is dipped in a bath of butyl rubber and then calendered (squeezed) between large steel rollers to produce the finished carcass.
